1978
Founded by Vicky Mann, VMA Group (Vicky Mann Associates) was built on a simple vision: to deliver a high-quality, people-focused recruitment service rooted in care, detail, and understanding. We quickly became the market leader for communications recruitment, also expanding into internal communications while the discipline was still in its infancy.
2008
Julia Meighan took over the business from Vicky, leading VMA Group’s expansion across sectors and internationally. We opened offices across the world including in Brussels, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.
2013
We continued to grow and expand our offerings across disciplines, diversifying beyond communications to include marketing, digital and change management.
2023
After 15 years of Julia Meighan’s ownership, we underwent the transition from private ownership to an employee-owned business under an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This means that all our employees have a ‘significant and meaningful’ stake in our business, empowering our team to take real pride in the work that we do.
2025
We continue to serve a range of international clients across sectors, from our offices in the UK. Our shared ownership means every team member is invested in delivering exceptional results, building long-term partnerships, and shaping the future of the industries we serve.
