Our guest speakers Emma Tucker, Head of Internal Communications at ACCA, and Jo Harvey, Head of People and Culture Communications at LSEG, explored the different types of change, the role internal communicators play in helping people make sense of change, and the opportunities to provide strategic value to their organisation.

Emma Tucker, Head of Internal Communications, ACCA
Emma Tucker is the Head of Internal Communications at ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. With over 15 years of experience in internal communications, Emma believes in building great companies from the inside out. She is skilled in creating internal communication strategies and campaigns that foster employee involvement, support behaviour change, and sustain positive working cultures.
In her current role, Emma focuses on helping her team create stories that connect people to ACCA’s strategic aims and improve communication capabilities across the organisation. Her career began at BNP Paribas, where she worked on projects including brand engagement, diversity and inclusion campaigns, HR programmes, and regulatory change communications. At Temenos, she built the internal comms function from scratch and worked on company-wide transformations, brand rollouts, and culture engagement.
Emma completed her MA in Internal Comms Management with the IoIC and Solent University in 2021, adding theoretical knowledge to her practical experience. She lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, daughter, and their insatiable cat, Nala. LinkedIn
Jo Harvey, Head of People & Culture Communications, LSEG
Jo Harvey began her career in the restaurant industry, even owning her own restaurant for a time, before finding her niche in Internal Communications (IC) over the last decade. She has worked in various businesses, including Pizza Express, Standard Chartered, and EY, providing expert strategic partnership in IC. Specialising in HR and culture, Jo has led HR technology and operating model transformation communications.
Her success lies in putting humans at the centre of every decision, recognising the need for human connection in the age of new technology. Jo integrates traditional, social, and digital campaigns with event management to deliver successful organisational and cultural change through a comprehensive, adaptable, data-driven strategy.
Jo recently graduated with a Masters in Internal Communications, focusing her research on helping employees make sense of change by coaching leaders in message delivery and channels. She currently serves as Head of People and Culture Communications at the London Stock Exchange Group. LinkedIn
