Job Overview:

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the positioning, messaging and marketing strategies for a product or product line. They act as a bridge between the product development and the market, ensuring the product resonates with its target audience and drives sales.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Depending on the size of the organisation, the responsibility of the Product Marketing Manager can vary, however most commonly include:

  • Conducting market research, competitor analysis and gathering customer insights to inform product strategy
  • Defining and developing product positioning and messaging to ensure alignment with target audience
  • Developing and leading on key marketing strategies for new products and product lines
  • Monitoring product and campaign performance, and reporting on KPIs such as adoption, conversion rate, return on investment to key stakeholders
  • Developing product-focused content such as blogs, case studies and other materials to support campaign objectives
  • Developing sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, presentations and demos to support the sales team in communicating product value
