Organized by VMA GROUP’s Crystle Pearce, the ‘Meet the Author’ event series is a welcoming space for communications professionals to gather, enjoy drinks, and listen to esteemed authors in the field. Previous speakers have included Jenni Field, award-winning podcaster and author of Influential Internal Communication, and Lesley Allman, author of the Amazon best-seller Better Internal Communication. The recent event with Kim A. Page marked the third successful gathering, offering attendees a chance to reconnect with peers and collect a new ‘Meet the Author’ bookmark.
Finding Your Voice
Kim A. Page captivated the audience with an interactive activity and discussion centered on her passion: finding your own voice. Her book, The Right Kind of Loud, serves as an essential guide for communications professionals, offering insights on body language, active listening, workplace navigation, and audience engagement. Through a game designed by Kim, the event sparked lively discussions about overcoming the challenges of a multichannel communication workplace.
