Professional Summary
As Director of VMA Group’s South West region, I support clients and candidates across the south west UK and beyond with their recruitment needs, covering mid-to-senior level internal, external and change communications on both a permanent and interim basis.
What did you do before you joined VMA group?
I started my career in finance recruitment in the City, moved through recruitment media & technology sales, and ultimately spent the bulk of the last 20 years building and running my own recruitment businesses and focussing personally on the mid-to-senior level communications market. A thread that runs through all of this is my focus on solving recruitment problems… nothing to do with pegs and holes!
Why do your clients enjoy working with you?
Clients would likely say they value my honesty (brutal at times), pragmatism and persistence… a smattering of northern stoicism and a commitment to getting things done undoubtedly helps with this.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy brokering great matches between client need and candidate aspiration – get this match right and everyone benefits. Solving recruitment problems with professionalism, creativity and minimal fuss, and enjoying the conversations along the way.
What are your interests outside of work?
A lover of a decent Bordeaux, bit of a HiFi geek, often to be found outdoors…
