Interim Assignment: Brexit Change
Background
Our client is an Asia-based financial services group with an integrated global network which services the needs of individuals, institutions, corporates and governments.
Following the UK's decision to leave the European Union, in what has become known as the Brexit vote, our client had to develop a number of strategies to prepare for multiple potential Brexit deal scenarios.
What Was The Challenge?
In order to prepare for this, our client recognised a need to bring in an interim change management communications expert to support both the internal and external communications teams with their communications strategy and preparation for Brexit.
At the outset, our client planned to have a centralised role for both internal and external communications. However, finding someone at a senior level with experience of both was a significant challenge as senior interims tend to be more specialised than others.
What Our Team Did
With the role's urgency in mind, we drew on our extensive network of potential interim candidates and within a week of taking the brief had formed a shortlist of suitable senior change communications professionals with the relevant financial services experience. Following a rigorous recruitment process, we placed a candidates who had the knowledge and experience necessary to drive the communications strategies both internally and externally, ensuring a smooth transition throughout the business.
