We are working with a chemicals company who are looking to hire a Corporate Communications Manager to join a dynamic communications team, led by the VP Investor Relations. You will be based in the London HQ and will report to the Head of Communications.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team and to play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Communications to build up the Group’s communications capabilities as they work to tell the brand story and enhance and protect their reputation.

 

You will have the opportunity to work with senior leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams predominantly in the EMEA region to deliver impactful integrated communications campaigns that resonate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, investors, media and industry bodies.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Developing and implementing impactful integrated communications plans that drive understanding of, and belief in, the businesses purpose and strategy.

  • Adapting and tailoring communications and content that appeal to different stakeholder groups.

  • Sourcing and creating a consistent drumbeat of content, across internal and external channels, with compelling narratives that connect the businesses corporate, divisional and stakeholder activities to its purpose.

  • Developing corporate communications materials, including social media, video and corporate website content, press releases, media statements, Q&As and internal briefing documents.

  • Collaborating with the Group’s HR team to develop and deliver engaging internal events / activities to ensure a consistent news flow through the company.

  • Collaborating with colleagues based in global regions to support consistency of messaging across the business.

  • Work with the Head of Communications to review, and redesign as required, the businesses internal, external and social channels to ensure they are fit for purpose.

  • Support the Head of Communications to develop global communications protocols, including use of social media, and issues and crisis management.

  • Participate in the Annual Report drafting process and similar corporate materials to ensure a cohesive narrative across relevant assets and channels.

  • Develop new ideas and ways of working to improve the team processes and functioning alongside the Head of Communications and VP Investor Relations.

EXPERIENCE AND KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in corporate communications within a FTSE 250 company with significant international operations.

  • A track record of delivering impactful integrated corporate communications campaigns and developing content across internal, external and investor channels.

  • Demonstrable experience in internal communications reporting and metrics.

  • Experience of using new/emerging communications platforms and technologies is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to distil complex topics into clear and concise messaging / narratives.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Able to quickly form solid relationships with cross-functional colleagues and suppliers across geographies.

  • Political astuteness and ability to navigate complex issues.

  • Collaborative mindset with the agility to work independently on multiple fronts.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and planning skills.

 

Requirement to work in the London office 3 days a week, 2 days from home.
