One of VMA GROUP’s clients who are the leaders in business consulting across the globe, have a new opportunity to support key marketing programs and go-to-market strategy through their events program. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of external and internal events, from planning and development to execution and post-event follow-up, in collaboration with the events and marketing teams and client-facing professionals across the business.
What You’ll Do:
Act as the main project lead for planning, managing and executing an array of corporate events, including golf outings, conferences, dinners, cocktails and more across the EMEA region.
Assist Senior Manager, Corporate Events with the logistical support of key internal event programs, including Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Speaker Series, summer and Christmas parties, and c-suite townhalls.
Help maintain accuracy of data and promoting user engagement with the CRM system (Salesforce).
Help manage the Global Events Calendar, facilitating the content posted on it by coordinating across the EMEA marketing function to ensure marketers are submitting their events as needed.
Liaise with the Business Development team to prepare event dossiers that identify key targets for client events when required.
Help maintain the shared Events Hub document repository and disseminate new guidelines and recommendations as needed.
Serve as a proactive project manager for stakeholders by taking call notes, developing action-oriented next steps and maintaining shared Teams Channels with all relevant collateral and updates.
Constantly seek out ways to improve workstreams and increase team efficiencies.
Additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations (or related).
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Baseline knowledge of event management tools and email dissemination platforms (Cvent, Splash, Eloqua).
Preferred Skills:
Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgement.
Strong proofreading and editing skills.
Exceptional organisational and project management skills are required.
Must be able to interact, communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organisation.
Creative, innovative and collaborative.
Proven ability to work effectively in a professional environment both on a team and independently.
