The opportunity

My client is seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead strategic communication efforts across multiple regions, supporting our ambitious growth plans. This role offers broad exposure within an international legal/professional services environment, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience. This role is based in Central London with a 3 day in office hybrid working requirement.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the PR team in managing daily press office activities including overseeing and implementing PR strategies for key sectors, practices, and international hubs as well as handling media inquiries from national and legal outlets.

  • Working alongside the PR and Internal Communications teams to plan and execute business announcements, such as partner promotions and financial results. This involves gathering data, crafting key messages, and producing content for both internal and external audiences.

  • Providing strategic communication advice to senior stakeholders, developing and executing plans for major initiatives like new partner hires, office launches, people strategies, sustainability efforts, and digital innovations.

  • Tracking client engagement programs and business development activities to identify and share success stories, including notable client wins, relationship developments, and team achievements. Creating and distributing content to promote these stories both internally and externally.

  • Coordinating and managing submissions for industry awards and rankings, ensuring high-quality, timely entries. Drafting initial submissions, collaborating with experts to refine content, and managing follow-up tasks such as event attendance and publicity.

  • Overseeing communication needs and opportunities linked to major sponsorships and collaborations.

  • Keeping up with industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to continuously enhance the firm's communication strategies.

The ideal candidate

  • Proven experience in PR and corporate communications, ideally within professional services, legal, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing strategic communication initiatives, securing media coverage, and managing media relations.

  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with the skill to create engaging content for various audiences and platforms.
