Senior Internal Communications Manager (6-Month ‘Temp to Perm’)

A well-known brand in the aviation sector is looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager on an initial six-month contract paying £65,000 - £75,000 pro rata.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fantastic brand on a ‘temp to perm’ basis. The role would suit a creative communicator with an eye for detail and exceptional writing ability. It reports into the Head of Internal Communications and has three reports, all at manager level. The successful candidate will have experience of managing small teams, working closely with senior leaders and engaging a remote workforce.

The hiring manager is looking for someone to join by early August and will be interviewing from mid-July. The role has a hybrid working model with three days required in the office, close to Heathrow airport.

The successful candidate will need to be creative, pragmatic, calm and strategic, yet happy to ‘get stuck in’ on a day-to-day basis.

  • Working closely with senior leaders to agree communication priorities, identify opportunities and plan strategically to enable the successful implementation of business projects and change programmes as well as planning, producing and delivering tactical communication and engagement activity in support of business priorities

  • Providing leadership and guidance to managers and executives across the team as well as counsel and advice to the Head of Internal Communications, Director of Communications and Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer

  • Proven ability to bring business issues to life through creative thinking and engaging campaigns

  • Line management experience with the ability to upskill team members

  • Understanding of communication and engagement best practice

  • Competence in measurement, data, analytics and insight
