​Last month, VMA GROUP were proud to be a pioneer partner to the CommsRebel, Inner Rebel 2023 conference.

For those who don’t know, CommsRebel is an internal communications and employee experience consultancy, based in Manchester. Founded in 2020 by Advita Patel, CommsRebel have a mission to help organisations build an inclusive culture by empowering comms and HR leaders to do things differently.

In June, for the second year running, they hosted their Inner Rebel 2023 conference, an event for leaders in communications, PR, marketing, HR and operations. With a focus on collaborating and connecting to make a greater impact at work, the day consisted of a range of guest-speakers and workshops on topics including mental health, inclusion and sustainability.

VMA GROUP was keen to get involved with this event because it stands out so much from other conferences. Not only did this event involve a wide variety of renowned speakers and diverse topics, but it was hosted in Manchester, making it unique to many ‘London-centric’ conferences.

At the event itself, Advita was keen to ensure it was an inclusive as possible, providing plenty of choices to support the different learning methods of attendees, and even a hybrid option for those who weren’t able to attend in person.

Sara Tehrani, Crystle Pearce and Julie Mazzei from our VMA GROUP team headed to Manchester to the conference to get involved in all the exciting activities of the day, as well as to offer quick career chats and a CV clinic for attendees.
