Julie Mazzei, Principal Consultant, North & Midlands
Julie leads VMA GROUP's North and Midlands practice for the UK, responsible for both permanent and interim teams. She is one of our most successful and senior consultants with an unrivalled network of the industry’s top talent outside of London. There is arguably no other Marketing-Communications recruiter who has placed as many people as Julie has across the North during her career.
Prior to joining VMA GROUP, Julie spent her earlier career working in communications as an in-house manager, agency director and journalist. Having done the roles first hand, she is well placed to help clients find the right person and equally able to advise candidates on their next career move.
Julie advises clients on both interim and perm recruitment across marketing and communications disciplines. She is currently working with an exciting bio tech pharma client to find an interim Head of Comms for a maternity cover – having placed the perm role two years ago. She is also advising a FTSE listed business in Yorkshire looking for a Financial and Corporate Communications Lead.
She is able to advise clients on team structure and remit, helping to develop award winning teams. And equally has coached individuals throughout their career having placed many in their first industry roles who are now Comms Directors that she has advised along their personal development. She is the go-to person for any comms professional in the north.
Julie hosts bi-annual Advisory Board events in across the northern regions, bringing together local communications and marketing professionals to network and discuss best practice. We have had the pleasure of being hosted in some wonderful client venues including Kellonova’s offices, West Midland’s Police Museum, the National Football Museum, and many more!
Most recently, Julie hosted the northern launch for our Inside Insight research at BT Group’s office in Manchester. Mark Muscroft, Account Director, Southwest
As Director of VMA GROUP’s Southwestern practice, Mark harnesses his 25 years of experience to lead on all recruitment and executive search support for the region. He supports clients and candidates with all their hiring needs, covering internal, external and change communications on both a permanent and interim basis.
With his vast recruitment experience, including co-founding his own recruitment consultancy in Bristol, Mark has built up a reputation as a personable, professional and highly knowledgeable recruiter with a deep network and a clear understanding of how to deliver first class recruitment outcomes.
