Job Description
A leading London University is looking for a Communications & Engagement Manager to support with a major campus transformations project on an initial 12-month interim basis.

Sitting within the wider Communications function - and working closely with a dedicated project team - the role holder will own, develop, maintain and implement a communications and engagement strategy for the campus transformation project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the strategy for the communication and engagement of the programme and the projects that sit within it
Staff communications and engagement: using a range of internal communications channels, the post holder will proactively communicate the programme and upcoming plans
Student communications and engagement: the post holder will proactively communicate and engage with students using a number of channels to ensure needs and desires are recognised and understood
Plan, edit and write content to use for a variety of formats and channels, ensuring all communications is fully-brand aligned (addressing the key brand-points across the projects)
Provide guidance to senior management on the messages communicated to ensure consistency and clarity
Work with key communication colleagues to ensure alignment with the corporate communications strategy
Manage the relationship between external partners supporting the programme
Key Requirements
Proven success in a senior communications role, and experience of managing projects in a large-scale and multifaceted organisation
Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders and managing high-level relationships
Extensive experience writing and editing copy & the ability to turn complex detail into easy and digestible information for audiences to understand
Internal social media/digital platforms experience, e.g., working knowledge of intranet systems
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure & being resilient
An excellent and persuasive communicator with the gravitas to be credible to working across the university
Experience of managing change effectively
The ability to hit the ground running and pick things up quickly
Desirable: construction/property and/or higher education sector experience
