The Opportunity
We are proud to partner exclusively with Prostate Cancer UK to recruit a Communications Business Partner for theirCommunications directorate, working closely with their High Value Fundraising teams. In this pivotal role, you'll lead on external communication initiatives supporting the Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships, and Major Appeal teams, inspiring action to generate the funding needed to invest in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care to achieve the organisation's simple ambition – to help men navigate prostate cancer.
As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns & Brand team, you will support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns & Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of your High Value Fundraising activity into wider the communications plan to enhance results from our communications.
This is a 6-month FTC, starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior leadership as a strategic partner, developing and executing integrated communication plans that drive high-value fundraising efforts.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align communications with Prostate Cancer UK’s broader organisational strategies.
Partner with fundraising and external relations teams to create campaigns that inspire engagement, strengthen relationships, and support fundraising goals.
Lead the development of innovative marketing activity, leveraging communications tactics to build relationships with, and inspire, new and existing high value supporters
Lead innovative campaign planning, using insights and data to drive meaningful impact and continuous improvement.
Ensure projects are aligned with brand guidelines, adequately resourced, and evaluated regularly to enhance future strategies.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform effective communication strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
Familiar with the operation of an effective, high impact communications business partnering and planning function, using an agile, flexible and fast-paced approach.
A strong understanding and experience of high value fundraising practices, particularly in corporate partnerships and major donor giving.
Demonstrated success managing high-impact communication projects within a fundraising or similar environment.
Experience of successfully building trust and connection with community groups, ideally including knowledge of reaching, engaging and activating high risk communities.
Proven experience in stakeholder relations, particularly in corporate partnerships and donor engagement.
A versatile approach with the ability to thrive in high-value fundraising settings.
Expertise in project management, with a background in sales or marketing considered a strong advantage.
Creative problem-solving skills and a track record of designing innovative communication strategies.
Strong content creation and storytelling abilities to engage diverse audiences.
