Job Description

Our client, a leading global FMCG organisation, is on the search for an internal communications specialist to plan, create and deliver on communications and engagement activities for two workstreams around a large-scale transformation programme. The successful candidate will join our client’s West London-based team (flexible working options available) on a circa 12-month interim basis. This opportunity is paying up to £600 per day (outside IR35).

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with colleagues on the workstreams, the broader programme and within the clients wider Communications Team, managing and developing relationships, using these contacts to gather information, build understanding, help influence and work collaboratively

  • Work with the Workstream Change Management Leads and the workstream teams to identify relevant stakeholders (both internal and external) and conduct regular stakeholder analyses

  • Develop a detailed communication and engagement plan and calendar for the workstreams that will drive engagement and adoption, harness advocates for change and win over those who are passive or resistant

  • Proactively update the detailed communication and engagement plan and calendar, incorporating the outputs of the various assessments (e.g. change impact, stakeholder and other assessments) as required

  • Deliver the activities in the communication and engagement plan and calendar, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the overall programme communications and engagement plan and calendar

  • Create high quality communications content plus materials/collateral that bring clarity and create emotional engagement and enthusiasm from the relevant audiences

 

Key Requirements

  • Proven Internal Communications experience at a senior level

  • Proven internal communications experience in the content of business change/transformation

  • A self-sufficient, pro-active candidate with the ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Experience translating the organisation's strategic plan into engaging content for its workforce

  • Experience using a wide range of internal communications tools and platforms

  • Excellent copywriting skills - able to adapt your style and tone for various communications channels; experience translating complex material into clear and compelling copy

  • Knowledge of how to collaborate with senior stakeholders who may have conflicting goals

  • Experience in change management, programme management, and cultural strategy and transformation is highly beneficial
