The role: Marketing Assistant – 6 months contract (Zurich-based)
About this role
This role is based in our client’s Zurich office and will be responsible for supporting and executing marketing initiatives to support their Swiss business & marketing objectives. It involves working closely with other members of the Continental European (CE) and Central marketing teams, and stakeholders across the business, to promote our client’s capabilities to the wealth and institutional client segments. The role reports into the client engagement lead (Marketing) in Switzerland.
Job overview / Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with the Swiss Marketing team, to support the delivery of impactful marketing campaigns and support key client partnerships.
· Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
· Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.)
· Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
· Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
· Manage the web ecosystem for our client’s two brands - Work with the digital marketing team, compliance and external agencies to manage the local country website
· Support the team with weekly newsletters and invitations for client events
o Execute client communications using Eloqua & Cvent
· Post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
· Launch paid Social Media campaigns (LinkedIn) in close collaboration with the central marketing team
· Supporting organisational aspects and execution of events including proprietary events and third-party events
· Collaborative teamwork - build strong working relationships with local stakeholders and regional/global counterparts to leverage broader marketing activity in Switzerland
· The role may involve limited travel, on an ad-hoc basis, primarily within Switzerland
Experience
· Digital marketing & event experience, in the asset management industry or similar
· Degree in business studies, economics, marketing, or professional qualification
· Excellent spoken and written German & English language skills – French would be a plus but is not required
· Experience in LinkedIn advertising would be a plus
· Experience with marketing automation and content management tools such as Eloqua, Adobe Analytics, or Cvent would be a plus
· Financial product and investment knowledge or strong interest, ideally in both the active and index investment space
· Understanding of the financial services industry and asset management sector
