Purpose of the role:

  • Support the growth and commercial development of VMA GROUP within the communications, marketing and digital industries, through compelling marketing, communication and digital activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working with the CEO and Managing Director, develop and implement a marketing strategy and plan, to support key business objectives

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns to support the sales teams, targeting new businesses, sectors and professionals with compelling content, highlighting our capabilities and excellent service

  • Write and create compelling content to share across digital and print media to gain maximum exposure to relevant audiences such as HR, Talent Acquisition, Communications, Marketing and Digital Directors

  • Manage and enhance our company website, reviewing areas for improvement, enhancing SEO and implementing changes swiftly

  • Oversee the coordination of social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube with daily/regular postings across channels

  • Research trends, competitors and market changes; analyse and report on results

  • Design, develop, produce and update key company collateral, brochures, reports etc

  • Measure communications and marketing activities, both external and internal, delivering measurable projects and campaigns on time, within budget and to a consistently high quality

  • Provide relevant and timely reports on all marketing activity from a variety of sources

  • Manage all online and in person events across the business and proactively work with the sales teams to develop event ideas

  • Monitor all shared marketing mailboxes and action and respond where required

  • Monitor and respond to all website enquiries, including follow up with consultants

  • Monitor and manage VMA GROUPs google reviews, glassdoor reviews and any other relevant reviews and drive positive activity through consultants

  • Research external opportunities, be it sponsorships, partnerships, awards or new avenues for potential growth

  • Work with the CEO and Directors to develop our brand as an employer, promoting VMA

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of marketing in a professional organisation

  • Excellent writing skills

  • A CIM or similar qualification in marketing would be highly desirable

  • Design experience – in particular the Adobe Software Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva would also be desirable

  • Email marketing – experience using DotMailer would be beneficial

  • Some experience of using Google Analytics would be helpful

  • Capable of delivering on multiple marketing projects at the same time

  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly and distil the most important/relevant information to inform unique and innovative new content and creation ideas

  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task
